Italian Antique Copper Pot

Copper water pot from Italy. Groups of women would often gather in their town and fill  pots like this with water from the fountains.  They carried the pots on top on their heads once they were filled. Today, the pot makes a unique decorative item. The patina on the copper is beautiful and the subtle etched detailing adds a little elegance to a utilitarian pot. There is a small crack in the pot as well as denting from years of use. This pot will not hold water - however perfect for fruit for kitchen counter.
