Bernard Kuhn's Berlin shop is like a cabinet of natural curiosities created from clay.  His ceramic pieces are playful and mysterious but still very sophisticated with touches of gold.  Kuhn's clever works of art contain whimsical images and text of funny and images of nature and fairy tales.  His ceramics are like books.  They tell a story.  Welcome to Bernard Kuhn's library...

Fairy tales made from textile - this is the world of whimsical curiosities that are measured, cut and sewn from vintage fabrics, old stained aprons, dusty curtains and trims.  Realistically and  ingenuously conceptualized, Mister Finch's objects inspired by nature are mysterious and a bit creepy.  His creatures tell a story, they evoke wonderment and inspire the collector. Mister Finch resides in Yorkshire and with no formal training. Welcome to Mister Finch's adventures...

It's been a month of organizing, catching up and re-thinking things. Sometimes a little inspiration can make you look at things in a whole new way. These images are from a wonderful book called Found Style

Nothing is quite a wonderful as a simple, quiet room. Filled with your favorite flowers and a soft comfy chair.
This is the fine art of simple...practice it often.

Beach House in Vintage Ralph Lauren

The hippest dude in the Fashion and Home Industry,Doug Bihlmaier, who works in vintage for Ralph Lauren (essentially he is vintage Ralph Lauren).  This is the man that essentially defined the entire image, the aesthetic, and the general nostalgia that you get from the RL brands.  Doug is one of the oldest members of the Ralph Lauren team, starting out in the 1980's as one of the original stylists; developing looks for their showrooms, stores, and Ad campaigns.  Fast forward almost three decades, he currently holds the title of Head of Ralph Lauren Vintage.

This beachfront is surrounded by an archive of attractively shabby textiles and artifacts of Americana and American Indian.  Doug has more interesting fabrics patching up one sleeve than most of us have in our entire closets.

Thanks to the 'awesome' Mordechai Rubinstein of Mister Mort, we love him too and mister mort's style is exactly what drives us here at second shout out. Love you Mordechai!

He is the coolest...
